Las Vegas Area Museums and Exhibits Guide
Boulder City/Hoover Dam Museum is located at Boulder Dam Hotel,
1305 Arizona Street, Boulder City,
Nevada 89005. This museum has exhibitions on both the building of Hoover Dam and Boulder City. The
History section includes
many historical documents related to this project.
Fight Museum is located at Mandalay Bay Las Vegas, 3950 Las
Vegas Boulevard South, Las Vegas, NV 89119. The museum has fight artifacts, special events, and more.
Goldwell Open Air
Museum is located in the State of Nevada near the ghost town of Rhyolite and the mining town of Beatty. This museum is
opened 24/7 and is composed of several sculptures. The
artists who created this museum where led by
Albert Szukalski. This
museum has special events throughout the year. The Artist Residency and Workspace Programs offer a chance for new artists to
work at this museum.
Liberace Foundation and Museum is
located at 1775 East Tropicana Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89119-6529. The
Liberace Museum is housed in two buildings: Building
One contains the Piano and Car Galleries while Building Two showcases Liberace's Costume and Jewelry Collections with
a re-creation of Liberace's Palm Springs bedroom, and also has the Awards Gallery.
The Cabaret Showroom inside the Museum property has
Liberace’s famous mirrored Baldwin nine-foot grand piano and presents several afternoon and evening shows by local entertainers.
Liberace Museum and Foundation Store includes Liberace related items and other music type items for sale. Besides being a museum,
it is home to the
Liberace Foundation which mission is to help talented students pursue careers in the performing and
creative arts through scholarship assistance and artistic exposure.
Madame Tussauds Las Vegas's is located at 3377 Las Vegas Blvd. South Suite 2001
Las Vegas, N.V., 89109. The
wax figures include popstars, speed demons, cultural icons, sports stars, world icons, Las Vegas icons, and more. The News and
Events has what new wax figures are appearing and also special events happening at this wax museum.
Pinball Hall of Fame Museum is
located at 1610 E. Tropicana, Las Vegas NV 89119. This museum has over 150 of 'SolidState' and "Electro-Mechanical" pinball
machines available to be played.
Springs Preserve is located at 333 S. Valley View Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89107.
Patio
Gallery which is part of Springs Preserve exhibits art works dedicated to sustainability. The
Origen Experience has living Las
Vegas area native mammals, reptiles and invertebrates.
Desert Living Center is five buildings dedicated to displaying ecosytem
of Las Vegas and includes the Patio Gallery. The
Gardens include cactus garden, herb garden, vegetable garden, rose garden,
and more types of gardens. The
Nevada State Museum has the history, prehistory, and natural history of Las Vegas. The

The Atomic Testing Museum is
located at
755 East Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, NV 89119. This museum has the history of the Atomic testing and the Atomic bomb
which includes exhibits about the discovery of atomic power, Geiger counters, Polaroid, Testing, Radiation and more. There
is also a theater which has film clips about the Atomic Testing program. There is an events calender which listed what
exhibits and speakers will be there. They also have a volunteer program for people interested in being involved with the museum.
Lost City Museum of Archeology is located at 721 S. Moapa Valley Blvd. Overton,
NV 89040. The museum which was established in 1935 by the National Park Service to display excavated artifacts from
Pueblo Grande de Nevada. Inside the Musuem tells about the history of the museum and what artifacts are located there. Arounnd the museum describes some of the replicas of ancient dwelling that were built on the museums grounds.
The Neon Museum is
located at 821 Las Vegas Boulevard North, Las Vegas, NV. The Neon Museum mission and history which was started in
1996 is preserve and display the neon lights and signs that Las Vegas is famous for. The Fremont Street Gallery is a 24/7 outdoors
gallery with 10 neon signs. The Boneyard contains over 150 unrestored and is available as a tour.
