Las Vegas Gardens
 
Acacia Demonstration Gardens is a garden that shows how to preserve water but still garden in Southern Nevada and is located at 50 Casa Del Fuego St., Henderson, NV.  The brochure describes the different types of gardens that are located there.  The plant list gives both the common and scientific names of the trees, shrubs, succulents, cacti, vines, and other plants that are in the garden.
 
Atrium is an indoor rainforest with many orchids and bromeliads and is located at The Mirage, 3400 S. Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89109.
 
Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is located at 3600 Las Vegas Blvd South, Las Vegas, NV 89109.  The gardes includes many trees, flowers, and other plants.  Throughout the year, there are special displays to celebrate different holidays. 
 
Ethel MŽ Chocolates' Botanical Cactus Garden is located at 2 Cactus Garden Drive, Henderson, NV 89014.  It includes 15,000 cu ft of sandy soil which is home to over 300 different species of plants. About half of the plants are cacti and succulents while the rest are desert shrubs and trees.  The gardens usually have special themes throughout the year.
 
North Las Vegas Desert Demonstration Garden is located at 2200 Civic Center Dr., North Las Vegas, NV is a demonstration garden which shows how to convert a lawn into a desert garden which helps preserve water.  It has over 75 native species in it. 
 
Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat contains many plants and also tigers and other cats and is located at The Mirage, 3400 S. Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89109.
 
The Gardens at the Springs Preserve includes vegetable & fruit garden, Palm Oasis, herb garden, and rose garden and is located 333 S. Valley View Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89107. Garden Fact Sheet has details on the various gardens.
 
University of Las Vegas Arboretum includes the entire 335 acre campus with 80 acres have been landscaped with trees, shrubs, & turf and is located at 4505 South Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas, NV 89154.  There is also a 2 acre Xeric Garden which is a desert landscaped garden.  The Xeric Garden Plant Index list the botanical and common names of the plants located in the garden.  The History of the Xeric Garden describes how the garden came together. Wildlife Attracted to the Xeric Garden explains how the garden supplies food, water, shelter, and reproduction area for birds and other wildlife. "What is Xeriscaping?" describes how this type of landscaping is a water saving way of gardening.  The Desert Landscaping Garden has photos of the garden.  
Winchester Demonstration Garden is located at 3130 S. McLeod, Las Vegas, Nevada 89121.  This garden shows how an area that was orginally populated with water hungry grass can be convert into a sustainable desert garden.  The brochure describes how it was done.
